Mile High Shredders...To the Highest Mountain!
We are dedicated to empowering individuals with Down Syndrome to lead fulfilling lives by promoting inclusion and providing lifelong opportunities.

Mile High Shredders: Because Every Individual Deserves Opportunities
Our journey began with our son, Ben. He’s currently 7 years old, loves the mountains, and also happens to have Down Syndrome. Along the way, he’s skied down slopes we never thought possible, paddled across lakes, ridden horses, rock climbed, practiced archery, and recently learned to ride a bike.
We believe community and inclusion make valuable opportunities possible.
As a result, Shredders Ski Team started it's first season in 2024-25 with 10 amazing individuals with Down Syndrome. We quickly realized there’s so much to be gained through community and the theme of "to the highest mountain" as everyone is working towards their highest mountain in life. We continued into the summer with three week long adventure summer day camps in 2025 which included activities of cycling, rock climbing, archery, paddle boarding, and kayaking.
As a nonprofit, we are committed to empowering individuals with Down Syndrome through lifelong opportunities.
Thank you to our supporters for believing every individual deserves to shred, soar, and shine. Because of our supporters, the journey continues and the best adventures are still ahead.
With Gratitude,
Corey and Kris Frey
